Clark’s Out of Town Landlord

Draft for a lawyer

Privacy

Clark’s Out of Town Landlord. This page is a draft. It is not in effect, and no funds should be collected until a lawyer has reviewed it.

Who this is for

This draft describes what Clark’s Out of Town Landlord collects on myoutoftownlandlord.com. A lawyer will review it before any membership, packet fee, or handyman payment is collected.

What we collect

A landlord or estate account includes the name, phone, city, county, property address, and the county or court link they paste. A handyman account includes the name on the ID, street address, phone, email, and shop details. A tenant packet includes the name, email, phone, the landlord number, and the answers the applicant types. Sign-in can be Google, X, or an email and password.

Photo ID and the live picture

Landlords, estates, and handymen upload a photo ID and take a live picture. Clark’s uses those to see that the name matches the person. Other landlords, KeyKeepers, and handymen cannot open them. The site does not decide that the two pictures match. A person at Clark’s compares them.

Who can see an account

Clark’s can see the enrollment packet and the handyman credentials in order to verify the account. A landlord sees the tenant packet sent to that landlord’s number. A KeyKeeper sees the request an owner sends them, not the owner’s ID. A handyman sees the job posted to them, not another person’s ID.

The tenant packet

The packet is what the applicant types and uploads. It is not a credit report, not an eviction search run by Clark’s, and not a background check. Clark’s is not a consumer reporting agency.

Payments

No card is charged from this draft. When payments open, the card processor will receive the card details. Clark’s should not store the full card number on this website. A lawyer will review the plan to hold a handyman’s payment until proof of work.

How long, and how to ask

Clark’s keeps an account while it is open and as long as a record of a fee is needed. To ask what is on file, or to ask that an ID be removed, write info@myoutoftownlandlord.com. Closing an account does not erase a payment record the business is required to keep.

Contact: info@myoutoftownlandlord.com. A mailing address will be added before payments open.
